Terms of Use of the Test Environment
These terms ("Test Terms") govern access to and use of bepleez's test environment for developers (the "Test Environment"), published by bepleez SAS (single-shareholder simplified joint-stock company), registered with the Paris Trade and Companies Register under number 130 785 983, whose registered office is at 4, square Emmanuel Chabrier, 75017 Paris, France, represented by its President, Sébastien Gibier ("bepleez", "we"). By signing in to the dashboard with the invited address, by generating a key or by calling the Test Environment, you ("Developer", "you"), acting for your company, accept these Test Terms.
For the bepleez service in production offered to merchants (widget, subscription, Deal Token), the Terms of Service apply; they do not apply to the Test Environment.
1. What the Test Environment is
The Test Environment lets you call bepleez's seller agent from your server, over MCP or A2A, with the product record that your own system sends, in order to evaluate a price negotiation. It is free, meant for evaluation, and is not a production service.
- The seller agent's answers are generated by artificial intelligence (the acts carry the
ai_disclosuremention). They may contain errors. - Prices and agreements obtained in the Test Environment bind neither you nor bepleez: a test agreement (reference
BPZ-…, agreement token,commitact) proves that a test took place; it is not an offer to sell, creates no coupon in your system, and must not be presented to real customers as a real price. - bepleez is not a party to any sales contract between you and a buyer.
2. Access, account and API key
Access is by invitation from bepleez. You must be authorised to act for the company concerned. You generate your own keys in the dashboard (My shop, Integration tab); a key is shown only once.
You agree to:
- keep your keys on your server only (never in a web page, a mobile app, a code repository or a message), and store them in environment variables or a secret manager;
- revoke a compromised key immediately (revocation takes effect at once);
- not share your keys with unauthorised third parties. You are responsible for the calls made with your keys.
bepleez may revoke a key or suspend access at any time, in particular in case of a security risk, use contrary to these terms, or when limits are exceeded.
3. Usage limits
The test plan includes 100 negotiations in total, at most 50 per day (limits of the test plan, which can be adjusted). Beyond that, opening a new negotiation is refused (quota_exceeded); negotiations in progress continue. A higher limit can be requested at hello@bepleez.com. Circumventing these limits (multiple accounts, key rotation, etc.) is forbidden.
4. Data
4.1 What you send. You send product records (reference, title, price, currency, description, stock) and messages from a simulated buyer. Do not send personal data of real customers or confidential data to the Test Environment: use test products and fictitious buyers. Otherwise you remain solely responsible for the legal basis of that transmission.
4.2 What we keep. We record the acts exchanged, the product records frozen when a negotiation opens, technical logs and the use of your keys, in order to operate the service, measure the quota, ensure security and improve the engine. Product records you send are deleted at the latest 90 days after the negotiation opens, and other test data (acts exchanged, technical logs, key usage) at the latest 12 months after creation, or earlier if you ask us at hello@bepleez.com. They are not kept as production data.
4.3 Processing. The processing of any personal data (your contact details as a developer, connection and call logs) is described in the Privacy Policy. The Data Processing Agreement does not apply to the Test Environment as long as you send no personal data of real buyers.
4.4 Improving the service. bepleez may analyse test exchanges, after removing direct identifiers, to improve its negotiation engine, without ever selling them, disclosing them to another customer or using them to train third-party providers' models, as provided in the Terms of Service. You may object at any time at privacy@bepleez.com, with no effect on your access to the Test Environment.
5. Permitted use
You agree not to:
- use the Test Environment in production, for real sales or for real customers;
- extract, reconstruct or try to infer the internal logic of the seller agent (instructions, pricing rules, floors, doctrine), in particular through systematic or automated probing of its answers;
- benchmark the Test Environment against a competing product, or publish measurement results, without our written agreement;
- harm the security or operation of the service (abnormal load, attempts to reach other developers' data);
- use it for unlawful purposes or purposes contrary to consumer or competition law.
The public examples repository is under the MIT licence and you may reuse its code freely; that licence does not cover the service itself.
6. Availability and change
The Test Environment is provided as is, without warranty of availability, continuity or absence of errors, and with no service level commitment. It may be interrupted, modified or reset at any time, and its API contract evolves: changes are indicated by a contract_version and in the changelog. A version of the contract remains usable for 12 months after the next one is published, and its withdrawal is announced at least 90 days in advance; this is not a guarantee of the availability of the Test Environment itself.
7. Intellectual property and feedback
bepleez retains all rights in the service, the negotiation engine, the agents and non-public documents. You retain your rights in your product records and your code. The feedback, suggestions and error reports you send us may be used freely by bepleez to improve the service, without compensation.
8. Confidentiality
Non-public information that we give you (undocumented behaviour of the service, results of customised tests, commercial terms) is confidential; you will not disclose it to third parties without our agreement, except where required by law. The published documentation and the public examples repository are not confidential.
9. Liability
As the Test Environment is free and provided for evaluation, to the extent permitted by law, bepleez is not liable for indirect damages or for loss of data, profits or opportunities connected with its use, and its total liability is limited to 100 euros. Nothing here limits a liability that cannot be limited under French law (gross negligence, wilful misconduct, harm to life or physical integrity). You are responsible for the use you make of the seller agent's answers.
10. Term and termination
These terms apply as long as you have access to the Test Environment. You may stop using it and revoke your keys at any time; bepleez may end or suspend access without notice in case of breach, or with reasonable notice otherwise. Moving to production requires a separate contract or acceptance of the Terms of Service. Clauses that by nature survive (confidentiality, intellectual property, liability) continue to apply.
11. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by French law. Failing an amicable settlement, any dispute falls under the Paris Commercial Court (Tribunal des activités économiques de Paris), without prejudice to mandatory rules of jurisdiction.
12. Changes
We may change these terms; the current version is published here with its date. For a substantial change we will warn you by e-mail before it takes effect, and you will be asked to accept the new version in the dashboard. Continuing to use the Test Environment after that date counts as acceptance.
